Ways to Give

An important way you can help the Center for Children (CFC) is through a financial donation. Proceeds will benefit CFC in its mission to provide prevention, awareness and treatment of child abuse. The Center for Children is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. Donations can be sent to the Center for Children at 6100 Radio Station Road, P.O. Box 2924, La Plata, MD 20646. Your generous gift goes directly to supported children and families in need in your community. In 2009, we were honored as non-profit of the year in 2009 by the Charles County Community Foundation and received many accolades over the years for our community work.

Goods and Services
Another opportunity is to donate goods or services towards the Center for Children. Currently, we are in need of general office supplies.

Community Investment Tax Credit Program
Tired of paying so much Maryland tax? The Center for Children has been awarded tax credits that are available to businesses or individuals that  donate at least $500 to the Building Blocks for Success Project. Donors will receive a tax credit equal to 50% of the value of their donation. These tax credits may be claimed IN ADDITION TO State and Federal deductions for charitable contributions, typically making the net cost of a contribution 27 cents or less for each dollar contributed! Corporate Support
Corporate Sponsorships are another unique opportunity for businesses in Maryland to partner with the Center for Children in the fight against and the treatment of child abuse. There are many excellent opportunities for you to invest in the Center for Children. We will recognize your company on our website, in a variety of the materials printed for annual events and in our E-Newsletter. Not only will your contribution be considered a tax-deductible donation, but you may also be able to apply for Community Reinvest Tax Credits (CITC).

Workplace Giving
Get your employees involved via charitable giving campaigns. Look for us in the Combined Federal Campaign booklet under Center for Children. By checking #53847 on the enrollment form, federal employees and military personnel can designate the Center for Children for their Combined Federal Campaign contributions. Boost morale by getting your workforce back in the community. Host a “Day of Giving”.
